This transdisciplinary arts and community engagement project will be about Boston's critical coastal zones impacted by urban spatially variable sea-level rise. The goal is to engage a broad non-scientific audience and promote scientific literacy about research using paleontological sea-levels to predict future global-warming impacts. The work will visually represent the dynamics of collaborative survival and be conceptually guided by new materialism, an interdisciplinary theoretical and political stance that challenges scientific convention by centering nonhuman corporeal life and material phenomena using interdisciplinary, feminist, and decolonial critical frameworks.

The following images represent the visual aspects of the project, which will combine roughhewn installation elements with video, sound, painting, and experimental technologies to communicate social and scientific aspects of the climate crisis.
